Notice to Our South Delta Minor Hockey Community:

As we approach the end of another successful hockey season, the Board of South Delta Minor Hockey begins to plan for the upcoming year. This includes reviewing and addressing all aspects of the season ahead, such as ice availability, scheduling, registration processes, coaching, player development, and team formation.

As our enrolment continues to grow year after year, we are making adjustments to ensure we continue to meet the evolving needs of our community. One key area of focus is enhancing our player and coach development programs. To support this, the Board has voted to expand the Director of Hockey position to a dual-role structure. This means we will now have two Directors of Hockey, each focusing on different areas of the game, ensuring every aspect of our development programs receives the attention it deserves. The two directors will work closely together to provide top-tier development opportunities for both our players and coaches.

It’s important to note that this expansion is driven by our growing enrolment and our commitment to offering more opportunities for development. The addition of a second Director of Hockey is not a reflection of any concerns with our current provider, Lawson “Boots” Boutilier , and his team. We have great respect for Boots and his team, and Boots will continue in one of the Director of Hockey roles, working alongside the new hire to ensure the continued success of our programs.
