Welcome to the 2024/25 season
Mission Statement:
In conjunction with Hockey Canada, BC Hockey and South Delta Minor Hockey’s commitment to “Fun, fair play for all”, the officials of South Delta Minor Hockey are dedicated to ensuring that the sport of hockey is both “safe” and “fair”.
-
The past two seasons we have increased the number of new officials into the program as we aim to replenish the pool of young officials we lost over the pandemic. Going forward we anticipate bringing on approximately 15 officials each season so we can get those new officials on the ice and work with our more senior officials for development.
Certification for new officials will take place September 14.
All new officials will need to complete the ONLINE HOCKEY UNIVERSITY for OFFICIALS course prior to attending the in-person clinic.
Stay tuned for an application process as we head into the 2024/25 season.

All officials under 16 years of age will recertify as a level 1 official. BC Hockey is hosting a number of SUPER CLINICS

Officials 16 years of age or older will recertify as a level 2 official.
Officials 18 years of age or older prior to December 31st will need to complete a criminal record check.
Criminal record checks are valid for 3 years. You can see your current CRC status in your Hockey Canada Registry.
